Australian university and pathways educational exhibition in New Delhi on 16th August - Fast track educational opportunities in Australian educational institutions for Indian students

 

An Australian university and pathways educational exhibition was organised in New Delhi on Sunday, 16th August 2009 by Navitas Australia. The exhibition was supported by The Australian Trade Commission & Australian Education International, Australian Government.

 

Established in Perth in 1994, Navitas operates 21 colleges in 5 states offering educational and higher education programmes & courses spanning English language, High School, Vocational studies, University pathways, Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes.

 

University Pathway Programs

 

Navitas is one of the largest networks of university pathway providers specialising in offering university pathway programmes in Australia. Pathway programmes are specialised first year degree (diploma) programmes and courses offered to students that fall marginally short of the entry requirements for Australian universities.

 

These programmes offer students the opportunity to progress directly into the second year of a degree programme at a Navitas partner Australian University on completion of Navitas’ one year diploma programme.

 

University Partnerships

 

Through its partnership with nine Australian Universities Navitas offers foundation programs, the first year of their partner university degree program and undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs on behalf of the partner university through Navitas managed campuses.

 

Navitas Australian partners include Griffith University, Macquarie University, Deakin University, La Trobe University, University of South Australia, Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University, Flinders University and University of Adelaide.

 

14,600 students are currently enrolled in Navitas’ colleges across Australia.

 

The Exhibition

 

The Navitas’ Australian pathways educational exhibition was held in New Delhi on Sunday, 16th August 2009.  Organised in partnership with Canam Consultants, the annual exhibition series is currently in its 2nd edition.

 

Date : Sunday, 16th August 2009

Venue : The Lalit New Delhi, Barakhamba Avenue, Connaught Place, New Delhi – 110001

Timings: 1100 Hrs – 1800 Hrs

 

The exhibition was inaugurated by Ms Rebecca Ball, Trade Commissioner, Australian Trade Commissioner, New Delhi.

Programmes offered by institutions participating at the exhibition include English language programs; foundation programmes; university level diploma; vocational programs (cert II, III, IV and diploma); undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and pre-masters programs.

 

Areas of disciplines include: Arts, Accounting and Finance, Bioscience, Built Environment, Business/Commerce, Computing and IT, Creative Technology, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Design, e-Commerce, Engineering, Health Sciences, Nursing, Hotel Management, Law, Marketing, Management, Mass Communications, Public Safety, Physical Sciences.

Navitas-Steve Waugh Education Trust

 

Former Australian cricketer, Steve Waugh is the brand ambassador for Navitas. Navitas and Steve Waugh have jointly announced the launch of the Navitas Education Trust.

 

In India, the Trust will work in conjunction with the Steve Waugh Foundation to provide funding for educational initiatives within India including literacy, numeracy and vocational skills programs in less fortunate areas as well as identify and source worthy recipients.
